         The C9 Aromatic Hydrocarbons Solvents Category is comprised of a petroleum naphtha refinery stream, “Solvent naphtha, (petroleum), light aromatic,” (CAS RN 64742-95-6; hereafter referred to as C9 aromatic. naphtha), from which the other, more chemically pure members of this category are isolated.

  • Printing: C9 solvent is used in printing inks, offset inks, and printing reducers
  • Rubber: C9 solvent is used in polychloroprene rubber, hot-melt adhesives, and pressure sensitive adhesives
  • Concrete: C9 solvent is used in concrete curing compounds
  • Pesticides: C9 solvent is used in pesticides and agrochemicals
  • Fuel: C9 solvent is used as fuel in food industry ovens, stoves, burners, and furnaces
  • Road markings: C9 solvent is used for hot road markings
